My Cacao ceremony experience 11.11.21

As an assistant on the immersion it was my job to help in the set up of the Cacao ceremony, which synchronistically happened to be on a powerful spiritual date 11.11.21 . Katyayani, the ceremony guide, bought a lot of special items to make the space and the ritual well set up. We each had a Sage smudge before entering the space to clear our energy before the ceremony.

We made a circle around a beautiful altar of flowers and candles. After an introduction we drank a warm nourishing glass of ceremonial grade cacao the Katya had lovingly prepared for us. We were guided to savour each sip with mindfulness, and to hold it close to our hearts.

We each reflected on something that we wanted to let go that no longer serves us. It felt powerful to say it out loud and have it witnessed by the group. There was a lot of information about the Caca and the many benefits so that we were aware of the intention of the ceremony. After the letting go exercise were asked to reflect on what we would like to manifest for the next year.

The closing of the ceremony was lovely sound bath with the crystal bowls. This was powerful as I felt the sound vibrate through my whole body. The session landed differently with each of us and had unique effects. I’m glad I got to experience this and now I understand what the ceremony is all about!
